Ben Nye Alcohol-Activated FX Palette - Body Art

The Alcohol-Activated Colours of the Body Art Palette are terrific for creating realistic and durable designs on the face and body. Vintage Black and Vintage Green can be used to make lifelike tattoos that will stay put in the most intense conditions. The Red, Green, and Yellow are bright hues that can be used as is or mixed together for more options.
This palette is an excellent choice to have in the kits of face and body painters, character artists, and those learning how to use alcohol paints.

How to use: Colour pigments should be activated with 99% alcohol before applying. This can be done by adding alcohol directly into the colour cell or wetting a brush with it.
The colour density achieved is a combination of the amount of alcohol used and the amount of time it is spent activating. More opaque colours will be created with less alcohol and longer time, while sheer colours will be done with more alcohol and shorter activation time.
Colours can be applied through various tools like brushes and sponges for an array of realistic and artistic effects. Build up colours on the skin in thin layers to give the appearance that the colour is in the skin. For more precise application, use our Round Point or Flat Brushes.
Remove colours by reactivating them with alcohol and wiping away. Colours should be used in a well ventilated space.
